Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Relief Catering Assistant to cover Exeter and Torbay, working term-time only with no weekends. This position is mobile and requires you to have your own transport to travel between sites.

The role pays £13 per hour for 38 weeks per year, with 10–20 hours per week. You will support the Catering Manager, ensure food safety and health and safety standards, and contribute to inventory and budget management within a school catering setting.

We are hiring for a Relief Catering Assistant to provide cover in the Exeter and Torbay area to support our existing site-based teams. This role is working term-time only and no weekends so is great for those looking for flexibility.

This role will be a mobile-based role so you will therefore need to have your own transport.

The role:

• £13per hour
• hours to be discussed 10-20hours
• Term-time only – working 38weeks per year

Your key responsibilities will include:

• To help the Catering Manager prepare and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
• To ensure that all Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures are followed and all mandatory paperwork is completed accurately and with integrity
• To ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers and expectations are consistently exceeded.
• To support with the day-to-day running of the location including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
