Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef at Coop Academy Swinton to prepare, cook and present nutritionally balanced meals to Caterlink and client standards during term-time (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, no weekends).

You will ensure Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures are followed, manage inventories and budgets, and support the location daily to uphold excellent food and service for pupils and staff, with access to learning and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef in education catering is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and quality standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards.
• Ensure that Food Safety and Health & Safety procedures are followed and all paperwork is completed accurately.
• Support the location's day-to-day running including inventories, budgets and action plans.

We are hiring for a Chef at Coop Academy Swintonwho wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is working term-time only and no weekends so is great for those looking for flexibility.

The role:

• £13.53per hour
• 35hours per week working Monday – Friday
• Term-time only – working 38weeks per year

Your key responsibilities will include:

• To prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
• To ensure that all Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures are followed and all mandatory paperwork is completed accurately and with integrity
• To ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers and expectations are consistently exceeded.
• To support your line manager with the day-to-day running of the location including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
