Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef at Island Free School, Ventnor to ensure nutritionally balanced and tasty meals for students. This term-time role runs Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week over 38 weeks per year, with a pay of £14 per hour. The position is on-site at the school, with safeguarding and DBS checks in place.

Job Description

We are hiring for a Chef at Island Free School, Ventnor who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is working term‑time only and no weekends so is great for those looking for flexibility.

The Role

• £14 per hour
• 40 hours per week working Monday – Friday
• Term‑time only – working 38 weeks per year

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• To prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
• To ensure that all Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures are followed and all mandatory paperwork is completed accurately and with integrity
• To ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers and expectations are consistently exceeded.
• To support your line manager with the day‑to‑day running of the location including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
