Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Chef/Cook to join our team of 5 based at Devizes Academy. The job will be producing and serving delicious, innovative food to the students, staff and visitors. At Devizes we offer a tuck service, lunch and the recently opened 6th Form Cafe with lots of creative main meals, grab & go and a great Coffee offer. Your role will be ensuring our future generations receive nutritionally balanced, innovative and tasty food. This role is working term‑time only and no weekends so is great for those looking for flexibility.

The role:

• £13.75 per hour
• 27.5 hours per week working Monday – Friday
• Term‑time only – working 42.6 weeks per year

Your key responsibilities will include:

• To prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client.
• To ensure that all Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures are followed and all mandatory paperwork is completed accurately and with integrity.
• To ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers and expectations are consistently exceeded.
• To support your Catering manager with the day‑to‑day running of the location including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans.
