Caterlink is hiring a Catering Assistant for Newline Academy, Maidstone, to support food preparation and service across our schools. The role is term-time only, 38 weeks per year, with 20 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 10.30am–2.30pm) and includes relief across multiple academies in the area.

You will work in a school kitchen environment, ensuring clean, hygienic spaces and a friendly service for students and staff. DBS check will be completed as part of safeguarding requirements.

Job Description

We are hiring for a Catering Assistant at Newline Academy, Maidstone to perform a variety of food production tasks along with food service in our schools. This role is working term-time only and no weekends so is great for those looking for flexibility.

The role:

• £12.71 per hour
• 20 hours per week working Monday – Friday - 10.30am - 2.30pm
• Relief working where needed across Newline Academy, Cornwallis Academy and Tiger Primary school
• Term-time only – working 38 weeks per year

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the preparation of tasty food and snacks
• Complying with Caterlink Health and Safety and Food Safety standards and procedures
• Keeping the kitchen, counter and restaurant areas in a clean and tidy state
• Providing a friendly, efficient and hygienic service to all customers
• Representing Caterlink and maintaining a positive brand image
