Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Short-term Catering Assistant at Newlaithes Primary in Carlisle to perform a variety of food production tasks and school catering duties. The role is term-time only with 15 hours per week and no weekends, lasting 8–12 weeks to cover a staff member.

You will assist in food preparation, adhere to health and safety standards, keep kitchen and dining areas clean, provide friendly service to pupils and staff, and represent Caterlink with professionalism in our school sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in school or catering environment preferred.
• Ability to work term-time only and 15 hours per week.

Job Description

We are hiring for a Short- term Catering Assistant at Newlaithes Primary, Carlisleto perform a variety of food production tasks along with food service in our schools. This role is working term-time only and no weekends so is great for those looking for flexibility.

The role:

• £12.71per hour
• 15hours per week working Monday - Friday
• Term-time only - working 38 weeks per year
• This position will last 8-12 weeks to cover a staff member

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the preparation of tasty food and snacks
• Complying with Caterlink Health and Safety and Food Safety standards and procedures
• Keeping the kitchen, counter and restaurant areas in a clean and tidy state
• Providing a friendly, efficient and hygienic service to all customers
• Representing Caterlink and maintaining a positive brand image
