Job summary

Caterlink Ltd is seeking an Assistant Chef at Telford College, Wellington, to provide nutritionally balanced and tasty meals for students. You will help plan, prepare and cook to the required standard, ensuring food quality, presentation and service meet expectations while upholding high food safety standards.

This role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time only (36 weeks per year). You will brief kitchen teams on menus, support with service, and contribute to safeguarding and DBS

Qualifications

• Assist with planning, preparing and cooking meals to the required standard.
• Brief kitchen teams on menus and service; ensure food safety and health & safety procedures are applied.
• An enhanced DBS disclosure will be obtained for this role.

We are looking for an Assistant Chef at Telford College, in Wellington who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. We are looking for an organised, hard-working and passionate individual to ensure that the food quality, presentation and service are provided to the required standard. You should be passionate about delivering an efficient service to our students whilst ensuring we maintain great customer service and high food safety standards. The role:

• 14.00 per hour
• 30 hours per week working Monday - Friday
• Term-time only - working 36 weeks per year

You will assist with all planning, preparing and cooking of meals to the required standard and you will ensure that the company's reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers. Other tasks will include briefing kitchen teams on menus and service, ensuring all food safety and health and safety procedures are applied continuously and carry out company bookwork.
