Caterlink is seeking an Assistant Chef for Lincroft Academy in Oakley, Bedford, to prepare nutritionally balanced, tasty meals for students and staff. You will ensure food quality, presentation and service meet the required standards while maintaining excellent customer service and safety.

The ideal candidate is organised and hardworking, able to assist with planning, preparing and cooking meals, brief kitchen teams on menus, and follow all food safety procedures.

Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Chef at Lincroft Academy, in Oakley, Bedfordwho wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. We are looking for an organised, hard-working and passionate individual to ensure that the food quality, presentation and service are provided to the required standard. You should be passionate about delivering an efficient service to our students whilst ensuring we maintain great customer service and high food safety standards.

The role:

• £15.45per hour
• 30hours per week working Monday – Friday
• Term-time only – working 38weeks per year

You will assist with all planning, preparing and cooking of meals to the required standard and you will ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers. Other tasks will include briefing kitchen teams on menus and service, ensuring all food safety and health and safety procedures are applied continuously and carry out company bookwork.
