Job summary

Restaurant Associates in Manchester is seeking a Front of House Supervisor to lead the staff restaurant and hospitality services, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and high operational standards.

You will supervise the Front of House team, oversee service setup, maintain displays and cleanliness, verify allergen information, and support training, events and client meetings with a proactive, welcoming leadership style.

Qualifications

  • Lead the daily operation of the staff restaurant and deliver an outstanding guest experience.
  • Motivate and inspire Front of House team to consistently deliver excellent service.
  • Oversee restaurant setup and ensure presentation-ready service areas.
  • Maintain food displays, counters and service areas to high standards.
  • Label foods accurately and verify allergen information using the purchasing system.
  • Monitor compliance with food safety and health & safety procedures.
  • Support training records, rota planning and day-to-day communication.
  • Contribute to seasonal colleague engagement initiatives and community events.
  • Support meetings, conferences and client events with professional delivery.

Front of House Supervisor

As Front of House Supervisor, you will support in delivering the day-to-day operation of our vibrant staff dining restaurant and hospitality services. You will play a key role in ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining the highest operational standards, and creating a welcoming environment for every guest.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the daily operation of the staff restaurant, ensuring efficient service and an outstanding guest experience.
  • Lead, motivate and inspire the Front of House team to consistently deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee the daily setup and smooth running of restaurant service, ensuring all areas are presentation‑ready.
  • Maintain food displays, counters and service areas to the highest standards of cleanliness, merchandising and food presentation.
  • Produce accurate food display labels and verify allergen information using the in-house purchasing platform.
  • Monitor compliance with food safety, health and safety, and company procedures, ensuring all standards are consistently met.
  • Support team development by assisting with training records, rota planning and effective day‑to‑day communication.
  • Help deliver a seasonal programme of colleague engagement initiatives, including Surprise & Delight activations, community events and collaborative projects with the wider GREWE team.
  • Support the hospitality operation, ensuring meetings, conferences and client events are delivered professionally and efficiently.
Skills, Experience & Attributes
  • Previous supervisory experience within a contract catering or events environment.
  • A confident and approachable leader with excellent people management and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to high standards.
  • Enthusiastic, dependable and hands‑on, with a proactive, can‑do approach.
  • Passionate about food, hospitality and delivering memorable customer experiences.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and adapting to changing business needs.
