Job summary

Edsential Community Interest Company is seeking a Catering Supervisor or Kitchen Assistant for a school-based role in Kingsley. This term-time contract covers 20 hours per week with an hourly rate of £13.61, paid over 12 months, plus two additional cleaning days.

You will support catering operations at Kingsley St John's CE Primary School and represent Edsential to ensure quality food and service for pupils.

Qualifications

• Experience running a school kitchen is advantageous.
• Ability to empower and lead a team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure high hygiene standards and safe practice.
• Prepare and present food meeting quality and allergen guidelines.
• Manage kitchen records, health and safety checks, and stock/food orders.
• Maintain relationships with school staff and manage staff timesheets, absences and probation meetings.

Are you a passionate Catering Supervisor or a Kitchen Assistant looking for a progression opportunity? If so, this role is for you and we'd love you to join our fantastic team based in schools acrossCheshire West and Chester, Wirral, Halton, Flintshire.

If successful, you will be supporting the Catering operations in running the service atKingsley St John's CE Primary School.You’ll be representing both Edsential and our school to ensure that all pupils have the best quality food and customer experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supervising the Kitchen staff in the following duties:

• Preparing and presenting food to a high standardof hygiene and safe practice
• Allergen Management and dietrary
• Completion of all kitchen administration, i.e Health and Safety Checks, Allergen Management
• Work to maintain accurate records and ensure kitchen targets are met, i.e stock control, food orders, quality assurance
• Manage relationships with School Staff such as Teachers, Business Managers and Head Teachers
• Management of kitchen staff i.e processing timesheets, absence management and probation meetings
