Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, delivering outstanding food experiences at 14Forty venues, is seeking an experienced Catering Supervisor in Derby to oversee kitchens and service counters and ensure exceptional standards.

You will lead catering teams, monitor KPIs, maintain health & safety, and partner with the line manager to drive continuous improvement, while enjoying competitive pay and development opportunities. This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri days.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years catering experience.
• Experience supervising culinary and service teams.
• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ambitious and motivated to upskill.

• Supervising our culinary and catering teams to ensure impeccable food and customer service
• Communicating regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and targets
• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image
• Liaising between customers and our culinary and service teams to ensure we exceed expectations
• Supporting and training our teams, leading from the front to enable excellence
• Implementing and reviewing Health & Safety standards across all catering and service teams

Job description

We're recruiting an experienced Catering Supervisor who is passionate about exceptional food and world-class customer service, and who can confidently oversee all Compass Group UK&I catering and service operations for 14Forty on a full time basis, contracted to 37.5 hours per week.

As a Catering Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring our kitchens and service counters run smoothly and helping to deliver truly incredible food experiences.
