Compass Group UK&I, Chartwells, is recruiting an experienced Catering Supervisor to oversee kitchens and service counters, delivering exceptional food experiences and first-class customer service across our venues.

Based in Bedford, the role is contracted to 50 weeks per year. You’ll lead culinary teams, monitor KPIs, train staff, ensure Health & Safety compliance, and progress your catering career with a company that values individuality and development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years catering experience.
• Experience managing teams in a similar role.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ambitious and motivated individual who upskills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious food to the highest standards.
• Supervising culinary and catering teams to deliver impeccable food and customer service.
• Communicating regularly with line manager to monitor KPIs and targets.
• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Liaising between customers and culinary/service teams to exceed expectations.
• Training teams and leading from the front to enable excellence.
• Implementing and reviewing Health & Safety standards for all teams.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Preparing delicious food to the highest standards
• Supervising our culinary and catering teams to ensure we continue to deliver impeccable food and customer service
• Communicating regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and targets

• Supporting and training our teams, leading from the front to make sure everyone can excel in their role

Our Ideal Catering Supervisor Will

• Be passionate about great‑tasting food and exceptional customer service
• Have a minimum of two years of catering experience
• Have experience managing teams in a similar role
• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills
• Be an ambitious and motivated individual who is always looking to upskill
