Overview

We're seeking to appoint a Catering Lead who is passionate about exceptional food and exceptional customer service, who can confidently oversee the catering service operations within Springwell Academy Leeds South, Belle Isle Rd, Leeds LS10 3JA.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the catering service operations and ensure delivery of high-quality food service.
  • Cook foods for the daily menus and work as part of the catering team to carry out all duties in the department.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety and high-quality cleaning regimes; manage stock to be kept safe, stored appropriately, and rotated securely.
  • Monitor food production, portion control and waste reduction to maintain cost efficiency.
  • Act as a role model to the Catering team and provide support to other staff; promote teamwork, training and professional development.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Varied background in catering; experience in education settings is advantageous.
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of learners and the team.
  • Food Safety Level 2 holder.
  • Ability to use a computer or willingness to undertake required training.
