About this Role
We're seeking to appoint a Catering Lead who is passionate about exceptional food and exceptional customer service, and who can confidently oversee the catering service operations within Ebor Gardens Primary Academy in Leeds.
Take Note: This role will show a location of Barnsley on MyNewTerm as that is where our central team are based, but this role will be from Ebor Gardens primary Academy.
As a Catering Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of truly incredible food service. You will cook foods for the daily menus and work as part of the team carrying out all duties as expected in a catering department; ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety and that high quality cleaning regimes are adhered to, and stock is always kept safe, stored appropriately and rotated securely. Monitoring food production, portion control and waste reduction will help maintain cost efficiency.
The Catering Lead will act as a role model to members of the catering team, always offering support to other staff, promoting teamwork, training and professional development.
The post holder will need a varied background in catering, with education settings experience being an advantage. We seek someone flexible to meet the needs of our learners and the team. You will need to have Food Safety Level 2 and be willing to use a computer or undertake the required training.
