Job summary

Plumpton College is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join the Catering & Hospitality team. You will assist with food service and preparation, ensuring smooth kitchen operations. You will help maintain cleanliness, comply with food hygiene standards and support functions outside regular hours.

We value a proactive, professional attitude and the ability to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends, while keeping students, staff and visitors' experience positive.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen or catering environment preferred.
• Understanding of basic food hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, wash pots, pans and plates.
• Comply with food hygiene standards and wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
• Support catering functions outside regular hours.
• Undergo food hygiene training as needed.
• Be courteous to students, staff and visitors.
• Able to work flexibly including evenings and weekends.
• Maintain high food hygiene standards and treat everyone with respect.
