Job summary

Starrycare is seeking a friendly and reliable Catering & Hospitality Assistant to support catering services across our client sites in the UK. You will assist with food preparation, serving meals and refreshments, and maintaining high cleanliness standards while delivering excellent customer service.

Role requires good communication, willingness to work in a team, and right to work in the UK. DBS check may be required. Competitive pay and flexible patterns are available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or food service is desirable.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene, health & safety, and infection control practices.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and serving of meals, snacks, and beverages.
• Set up and clear dining areas, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness in kitchens, dining areas, and food preparation areas.
• Replenish food, beverages, and catering supplies as required.
• Follow food hygiene, infection control, health & safety, and COSHH procedures.
• Provide a courteous and professional service to service users, visitors, and staff.
• Report equipment faults, hazards, or stock shortages.
• Participate in training and continuous professional development.
