We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Food Service Assistant/General Assistant/Catering Assistant with a background in exceptional food catering services to join our business and work at one of our highly prestigious education settings.

Nestled in the heart of Hull, this prestigious independent school caters for 800 – 900 day pupils as well as staff and includes not only a breakfast & lunch service but also an extensive hospitality service. This operates 6 days a week.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Food Service Assistant/General Assistant/Catering Assistant to make a name for themselves within the food service industry and be a part of setting the new standard for education catering.

Job Description

As a Food Service Assistant/General Assistant/Catering Assistant you will…

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner according to established menus and recipes.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the front of house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
  • Following proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
Qualifications
  • Ideally have experience working within Education catering
  • Have good Health & Safety knowledge.
  • Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer focused.
  • Fun and enthusiastic
  • Have excellent organization skills.
  • Demonstrate great attention to detail.
