Job summary

North Ayrshire Council is hiring a Facilities Assistant in our kitchen in Saltcoats. This temporary role runs to 30 September 2027 and may interview in person or via Microsoft Teams.

You will prepare and serve meals, operate a till, and carry out cleaning duties, working under pressure as part of a team while following food safety and nutritional guidelines. PVG checks apply and support for pre-employment checks will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Catering Supervisor you will assist in the provision of a quality catering service within this location and associated locations, as required.
• As a Facilities Assistant within a kitchen, you will prepare and serve meals, operate a till and undertake specific cleaning duties.
• You must have the ability to work under pressure, be a team player and operate within food safety and nutritional guidelines.
