Salary and Working Conditions
  • SCALE: Scale 5, Starting at £18,842
  • CONTRACT: Permanent, term time only at 39 weeks
  • HOURS PW: 24 hours - 07:00 - 13:00, Monday - Thursday

We are seeking to appoint an experienced chef to join our Hospitality and Catering Team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced chef who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, producing 400+ portions per lunch service, to work in a unique education setting led by student chefs under the lecturer. As the Catering Chef Supervisor, you will be hands‑on working alongside Head Chef Lecturer and students – coordinating daily food production and service, ensuring the smooth running of a busy commercial catering college kitchen.

You will be confident managing volume, pressure, maintaining professional standards, and balancing the immediate demands of the current lunch service with proactive mise en place preparation for next day's lunch. Working closely with the Chef Lecturer, you will support students in live training environments – role‑modeling industry excellence, guiding developing chefs, and helping deliver high‑quality dishes efficiently and consistently.
