Job summary

Aspens Services is seeking a Catering Assistant to support our school kitchen operations in Norwich. You will help with basic food preparation and deliver excellent service during the lunch rush.

The role emphasizes teamwork, customer interaction, and maintaining high standards in a busy school setting. Training is provided, with a focus on health and safety adherence and DBS requirements where applicable.

Qualifications

• Team player who thrives in a busy school catering environment.
• Experience in catering or fast-paced service is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices is required.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is beneficial, training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Customer Interaction: Working on the tills during service with full training provided.
• Front-Line Service: Providing friendly, polite service to students and staff.
• Essential Support: Assisting the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining Standards: Keeping a safe, clean kitchen and meeting Health and Safety compliance.
