Job summary

Accent Catering Services Ltd is seeking a Catering Assistant for our school site in Surbiton (KT6). The role is 21 hours per week during term time, with shifts: Monday 10:30–14:30; Wednesday to Friday 11:00–14:30.

You will handle food preparation, serving, cleaning, and basic training, working as part of a friendly team to maintain high standards and deliver nutritious meals that support student wellbeing. No prior experience required; full training provided.

• Experience in a similar role is helpful but full training will be provided.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.

What you will be doing

• - Food preparation
• - Serving, cleaning and washing up
• - Assisting with inventory management
• - Maintaining high standards of presentation of food and replenishing counters
• - Speaking to each customer in a friendly, helpful and professional manner
• - Undertaking all basic training and working effectively with colleagues as part of a team

This is a customer facing position so in addition to the above you will also need good communication skills and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the English language.

Experience in a similar role would be an advantage but full training will be provided for the successful candidate.

The ideal candidate will also have the flexibility to work overtime as required.
