Catering Assistant

Our award winning school meals have never tasted better and we are proud to offer pupils across the borough a great range of delicious, healthy meals, using locally sourced, high quality ingredients.

We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join our friendly and supportive catering team at Marston Green Infants, Elm Farm Ave, Birmingham B37 7AA

£24,413 - £24,796 pro rata, per annum, 38.6 weeks per year. £6,991.39

Working 12.50 hours a week, Monday - Friday, Term Time only, this role could be ideal to fit in around your caring responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with serving award-winning meals and ensuring hygiene standards are maintained within the kitchen.
  • Basic food preparation.
  • Prepare counters and the dining room for service.
  • Operate the cashless till system.
  • Complete cleaning duties.
Qualifications
  • Level 2 Food Safety qualification or willingness to complete and pass it within the first 12 months of service.
  • Experience delivering excellent customer service and working as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, enthusiasm and self‑motivation.
