You will play an important role in supporting the smooth running of our catering operations, helping to deliver fresh, high-quality food to our staff and students. You will assist with day-to-day food preparation, service, and replenishment, ensuring that every outlet is well-presented and maintained to excellent hygiene standards. You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of catering outlets, either independently or as part of a small team that may include other assistants, apprentices, or learners on placements. You will always maintain a professional approach, keeping your uniform clean and presentable, and contributing positively to the welcoming environment in our catering spaces.

You will be encouraged to engage in your own professional development and play an active role in contributing to the wider college community.
This is an ideal opportunity if you’re looking for a role that fits around school terms or other commitments. You will gain hands-on experience in a professional catering environment, working across different outlets and developing a wide range of practical skills.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, approachable, and committed to providing excellent service. You should have previous customer service experience and be confident in interacting with students, staff, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.

A good understanding of allergen awareness is also essential to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all customers.
You should also be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team, supporting our colleagues, apprentices, or learners on placement as needed. A willingness to learn and complete essential training and hospitality qualifications is important, along with the ability to follow procedures carefully and consistently.
