Job summary

Berkeley Scott is currently recruiting reliable and hardworking Catering Assistants with an Enhanced DBS for a range of temporary agency opportunities starting in September.

We work closely with schools, contract caterers, and hospitality venues across Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas, providing flexible agency shifts to suit your availability. Candidates with an Enhanced DBS and school catering experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic food preparation and meal service experience preferred.
• Experience in schools, education catering or healthcare catering advantageous.
• Two employment references required.
• Right to work in the UK.
• DBS certificate may be required for school assignments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation and meal service.

Catering Assistant - School & Hospitality Agency Work - Wolverhampton

Location: Wolverhampton and surrounding areas
Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour (depending on experience and client)

Berkeley Scott is currently recruiting reliable and hardworking Catering Assistants with an Enhanced DBS for a range of temporary agency opportunities starting in September.

We work closely with schools, contract caterers, and hospitality venues across Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas, providing flexible agency shifts to suit your availability. We are particularly looking for candidates who already hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate and have experience working in school catering or food service environments.

The Role

As a Catering Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting with basic food preparation and meal service.
• Serving meals within schools and other catering environments.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene.
• Supporting with washing up and keeping kitchen areas clean and organised.
• Following health and safety procedures at all times.
• Working as part of a friendly and professional kitchen team.

What We're Looking For

• A valid Enhanced DBS certificate is highly desirable (essential for many school assignments).
• Previous experience as a Catering Assistant, Kitchen Assistant, or within a food service environment is preferred.
• Experience working within schools, education, healthcare, or contract catering would be an advantage.
• Two employment references.
• The right to work in the UK.
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport is beneficial but not essential.
