Job description
Overview

We are looking to add to our great catering team to work across various sites within the trust. The role will be 15 hours per week, working a range of shifts from 06:00 to 19:00, 5 days over 7 (including weekends). The successful candidate will be a great team player, a communicator and able to think on their feet.

Responsibilities
  • Basic kitchen duties and assisting in food service to service users.
  • Cleaning of crockery, pots and pans using an industrial dishwashing machine and manually washing.
  • Preparation of hot and cold food items, service of patient meals or functions.
  • Adherence to safe working practices in all aspects of hygiene management.
  • Adherence to safe working practices in all aspects of risk management and security.
  • Carrying out general and specialised cleaning tasks in accordance with Trust procedures.
  • Mandatory training in COSHH, HACCP and compliance with all Trust policies relevant to the post, particularly with regard to the food hygiene policy.
  • Loading of ovens and food trolleys.
Qualifications
  • Level 2 food hygiene knowledge or ability to gain it.
  • Capability to stand, move and lift goods and food items.
  • Team player with strong communication skills.
