Job description
Role Overview

Part‑time catering support in the distribution centre and kitchen areas, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safe practices.

Working Pattern

30 hours per week, 2‑week pattern: Week 1 – Mon Tue Thu Fri; Week 2 – Mon Wed Sat Sun. All shifts 07:00‑15:00.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pick and pack patient food orders daily, keeping order integrity.
  • Assist with basic food preparation, complying with HACCP and hygiene policies.
  • Take deliveries and order stock on a timely basis to avoid shortages.
  • Monitor temperature systems and record readings accurately.
  • Quality control of all food products and stock ordering.
  • Report damaged or ineffective machinery promptly.
  • Stock takes and manage supplier systems.
  • Deal with customer complaints or issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Report to the Catering Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Basic food hygiene training or intermediate level required.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced kitchen.
  • Good communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety policies a plus.
Pay & Benefits

Real Living Wage (RLW) hourly rate as set by the Living Wage Federation, with a pay supplement if the national A4C hourly rate falls below this.
