Catering Assistant

Our award winning school meals have never tasted better and we are proud to offer pupils across the borough a great range of delicious, healthy meals, using locally sourced, high quality ingredients.

We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join our friendly and supportive catering team at Baginton Fields Academy School, Sedgemoor Rd, Coventry CV3 4EA.

Job Details

£24,413 - £24,796 pro rata, per annum, 38.6 weeks per year = £11,186.04

Working 20 hours a week, Monday - Friday, Term Time only, this role could be ideal to fit in around your caring responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with serving healthy award‑winning meals.
  • Ensure levels of hygiene are maintained within the kitchen.
  • Perform basic food preparation.
  • Prepare counters and the dining room for service.
  • Operate the cashless till system.
  • Carry out cleaning duties.
Qualifications
  • Level 2 Food Safety qualification or willing to complete within the first 12 months of service.
  • Experience of delivering excellent customer service and working as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, enthusiasm and self‑motivation.
