Job Description

The essential ingredient at the heart of our business is our people so we are searching for an experienced Catering Assistant with a background in exceptional food catering services to join our business and work at one of our highly prestigious education settings.

As well as having an excellent presentation, organisational and communication skills, you will be able to demonstrate a real passion for food & service and possess bags of enthusiasm.

As a catering assistantyou will…

  • Ideally have experience working within Education catering
  • Good knowledge of food hygiene and food safety
  • Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer focused
  • Fun and enthusiastic
  • Possess great customer service skills
  • Have a flexible approach to work
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and customers
  • Basic numeracy skills for portioning and stock management
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
  • Willingness to complete food safety training (provided by the organisation)
  • Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is desirable but not essential

The role is based in St Aloysius College in the heart of Glasgow.

Hours of work are 15 hrs per week term time Monday – Friday 11am – 2 pm with occasional evening and weekend work on a rotational basis.
