We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join our dedicated team in Meldreth, North Royston. You will be working in a residential care environment, supporting the catering function that provides meals for children, young people, and adults with a range of complex needs. This is a rewarding role where you'll contribute directly to the comfort and wellbeing of the people we support. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals in line with menus and dietary requirements. Work closely with care staff to ensure meals are served in a way that supports dignity, choice, and independence.
    A caring and compassionate attitude, with a genuine desire to support children and young people.
  • An interest in catering, food preparation, and kitchen work.
  • Good teamwork skills and the ability to communicate well with colleagues and residents.
  • Reliable, flexible, and willing to learn.
  • Experience in catering, hospitality, or working in a care environment is desirable but not essential - full training will be provided.
  • Willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
