Job summary

North East Combined Authority is seeking a Catering Assistant for our Environmental Services team. The role involves washing up, cleaning the kitchen, and serving lunchtime meals to children across multiple Middlesbrough schools during term time, with an additional 2 days.

You will be expected to move between schools, complete basic food hygiene and allergen training online, and obtain an enhanced DBS check. Prior catering experience is welcome but not essential as training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy catering environment is preferred but not essential.
• Willing to complete online Basic Food Hygiene and allergen training.
• DBS check will be required.

• Wash up and clean the kitchen and dining areas.
• Serve lunchtime meals to children.
• Assist with the School Meal Service and general duties.

We have an exciting role on offer within our Environmental Services as a Catering Assistant working 10 hours a week, term time only plus 2 days.

Catering Assistant required to assist the Unit Supervisor with washing up, cleaning the kitchen and serving the lunchtime meals to the children.

To be successful in this role experience in a busy large scale Catering Environment is preferred but not essential, additional training will be given, successful candidates are required to complete the Basic Food Hygiene Course online, allergen training and all other training required

You will have a responsibility for cleaning the dining hall and all general duties required to support the School Meal Service.

This role is to move around all of the schools within Middlesbrough who we provide the catering service to and is not restricted to just one school.
