Job summary

CHoICE Facilities Services is seeking a Catering Assistant to join our team. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across kitchen, production, dining rooms, central wash and staff areas with rotating hours between 2pm and 6pm. Main duties of the job

The catering department requires a catering assistant to maintain cleanliness and sanitation within kitchen, production, dining rooms, central wash and staff changing areas including toilets. The role will be on a rota basis between the hours of 2pm and 6pm. This is a physical role requiring the use of machinery including floor scrubbers.

Main duties of the job

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in designated work areas within documented cleaning schedules, as well as ad hoc duties as requested by your duty supervisor
• Support in stock control and stock rotation in line with HACCP guidelines for both patient and retail areas.

Recording of food, fridge/freezer temperatures

• Monitoring fridges/chilled units and ensuring food are within use by date
• Reporting faults, accidents and adverse incidents
• Replenishing and merchandising all food display units and maintaining appropriate records
• Demonstrating excellent customer care skills, courtesy and politeness
• Adhering to all Choice policies and procedures.
