Job summary

Sanctuary Care Limited is hiring a Catering Assistant for Beechwood Care Home in Upton upon Severn. You will assist with basic food prep and meal service, presenting meals to a high standard while maintaining strict hygiene and cleanliness in a calm kitchen environment.

You’ll work with a supportive team to enhance residents’ dining experience and wellbeing. The role emphasises safety, cleanliness, and collaboration, with opportunities for training and development within a not-for-profit care

Qualifications

• Previous catering experience is preferred.
• Willingness to work towards a Food Hygiene Certificate if not held.
• Good teamwork and communication skills are essential.

• Support the catering team with basic food preparation and meal service
• Present and serve meals to a high standard for residents
• Follow food hygiene and safety standards at all times
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean, safe and welcoming

• A caring, enthusiastic approach with a genuine interest in older people
• Good teamwork skills and a willingness to support colleagues
• An understanding of safe food handling and cleaning practices
• Previous catering experience and a food hygiene certificate, or willingness to work towards one
• Clear communication skills and a flexible approach
