Job summary

Impact Food Group is seeking a part-time Catering Assistant for Highwood Primary School in Reading. 16 hours per week during term time (37 weeks). Mon-Fri shifts with specific hours, and pay around £8,337.76 per annum. You will help prepare food, serve customers, and keep dining areas clean and safe.

Ideal candidates will have strong customer service skills, experience in catering or retail, and a commitment to hygienic, efficient service for school meals.

About the role

Job Title: Catering Assistant

School Location: Highwood Primary School, Reading, RG5 3JE

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Shifts & Working hours: Mon & Thurs 10.15am-1.45pm , Tues, Wed & Fri 10.45am-1.45pm

(16hours per week)

Working Weeks: 37weeks per year (term time only)

Pay Details: £8,337.76 per Annum

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Work as part of the catering team to provide a friendly, efficient, and hygienic service.
• Assist in preparing food and snacks for the site.
• Serve customers at the counter and operate the till.
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
