The Facilities Department is crucial to our future development and plays a vital role in the College’s ability to respond to local and regional business needs whilst serving the community we are so proudly a part of. Preston college Department of Estates and Facilities are currently looking for a Catering Assistant with passion, determination and a ‘can do’ attitude to work within our catering outlets.

We are looking for a professional, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to fill the role of the Catering Assistant. This role is customer-facing position so excellent customer service and communication skills are essential. We are looking for someone with strong team-working skills and a high level of flexibility across the catering department.

Job Title: Catering Assistant

Salary: Job family Group SCP 9 £25,949 per year, pro rata for part-time (actual salary £13,673 based on 0.53 FTE)

Hours: 23.5 hours per week (0.53 FTE), Part Time, 36 weeks (Term Time Only)

Indicative Working Pattern: Monday: 12:00 – 16:30
(This is subject to change Tuesday: 11:30 – 16:30
with the needs of the College) Wednesday: 11:30 – 16:30
Thursday: 11:30 – 16:30
Friday: 11:30 – 15:30
