St Elizabeth’s Centre is seeking a friendly Catering Assistant for term-time only, based in Much Hadham, Hertfordshire. You’ll help provide efficient, welcoming food service for residents, students, staff and visitors, assisting with food prep, service and keeping dining areas clean.
The role supports chefs and the catering team to ensure every service runs smoothly while maintaining high hygiene standards and accurate cash handling.

Salary: £18,443 pro rata (£12.71 per hour)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Term time only (39 weeks per year)

Set within the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, St Elizabeth’s is a specialist charity supporting children, young people and adults with complex medical and learning needs for over 120 years. We provide a specialist School, Sixth Form, College, Residential Children’s Homes, Supported Living and on-site nursing and therapy teams.

As a Catering Assistant at St Elizabeth’s, you’ll help provide an efficient, friendly and welcoming food service for our residents, students, staff and visitors.
You’ll support the catering team with food preparation and service, ensuring meals, snacks and drinks are well presented and available when needed. You’ll also help maintain clean and welcoming dining areas and provide friendly customer service throughout the day.
This is a varied hands‑on role where you’ll work closely with our Chefs and wider Catering Team to make sure every service runs smoothly.
Previous experience in catering, hospitality or food service is desirable not essential
