Job summary

Apleona UK is recruiting a Catering Assistant in Magor (NP26 3RA) to provide friendly, efficient food and beverage service with strong product knowledge.

Hours are Wednesday to Friday 7.45am–2.15pm and Saturday to Sunday 8am–12pm. Salary is £17,243.41 per annum with overtime rates. The role includes keeping service areas clean, assisting with event prep, and supporting the team; full training and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and customer service focus.
• Experience in a similar catering role is preferred.
• Understanding of health and safety in catering environments.
• Good time management and reliability.
• Flexibility to cover shifts during absences or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent food and beverage service with product knowledge.
• Ensure service areas are clean, tidy and safe.
• Deliver high standard of customer service even in busy times.
• Assist with cleaning and restocking vending machines and equipment.
• Prepare meeting rooms for events and support the team and manager.

  We’re currently looking to recruit a Catering Assistant who will provide excellent food and beverage service, showing product knowledge and passion for what is being served. You will make sure all customers receive a friendly, efficient service and that all service areas are clean, tidy, and safe.

  You will be committed to delivering a high standard of customer service and remain calm and positive even when it gets busy. You will also help with the cleaning and re-stocking of vending machines and other equipment, preparing meeting rooms for events, and be willing to pitch in with a variety of tasks linked to your job to support your manager, your team, and our client.
