Coxlease School in Lyndhurst is seeking a Catering Assistant to join our catering team. You will support basic food preparation, hygiene and help promote healthy eating to support the wellbeing of our Children and Young People.
The role is 9am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only, with duties including assisting with meal preparation under the Chef and ensuring kitchen hygiene standards are met. Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential.
Coxlease School is recruiting for a Catering Assistant to join their catering team! We are looking for passionate people, who can support the provision of the catering operation assisting with basic food preparation and hygiene and who can promote healthy eating and contribute to the wellbeing of our Children and Young People. In this role, you will under direction, take responsibly for parts of the catering operation, ensure the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with the Company's Assured Safe Catering Policies and Procedures and assist the Chef with both the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with these.
Coxlease is a very special school for young people with Autism, trauma related interruptions, communication needs and learning difficulties to access an appropriate curriculum in a wonderful environment in the heart of the New Forest. With typical class sizes of 6-8, we are able to provide the care, attention, time and dedication to all of the young people to enable them to access education and reach their individual goals and aspirations.
Previous experience preparing and cooking meals gained within a professional kitchen environment advantageous but not essential. All applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
