Job summary

Garforth Academy is seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our team in September 2026 on a permanent, part-time basis. You will help prepare and serve meals for staff and pupils, while contributing to kitchen hygiene and stock management to ensure a safe dining environment.

The role operates from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm with a half-hour break, offering a rewarding position within a supportive school community. Knowledge of food safety is desirable.

Catering Assistant – Garforth Academy

Garforth Academy is looking to appoint a Catering Assistant to join our academy in September 2026 on a permanent, part‑time basis.

Working hours: 7:00 am to 2:00 pm, with a half‑hour break each day.

Role Overview

As a Catering Assistant you will be responsible for preparing and serving food to staff and pupils/students. You will also assist with maintaining kitchen hygiene, stock management and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
