Job summary

BCUHB North Wales is seeking a catering assistant to deliver meals to patients and staff within wards, operating under shift patterns that include weekends. You will ensure high-quality service with strict food hygiene standards and coordinate with the ward teams to support patient care.

The role requires catering experience, a current Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain), and good communication.

Job description

Department working hours are predominantly between 07.00am to 21:00pm, which will involve some weekend work . The pay rate will increase for all hours worked on a Saturday and Sunday and Bank Holidays., You will be able to find a full Job description and Person Specification attached within the supporting documents.

You must have good communication skills, as you will be working within the kitchen and serving food at ward level. Candidates must be able to demonstrate ability to work flexibly and on own initiative.

You will hold a current level 2 food hygiene certificate, or be willing to work towards this qualification. Catering experience is essential for this post.

The ability to speak Welsh is not desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
