Catering Assistant

£12.21 per hour

Role: Catering Assistant – responsibilities
  • First and foremost – work as a team to enrich residents’ lives, support colleagues, and maintain a positive work environment
  • Main duties include basic food preparation, presenting meals to a high standard, and serving meals to residents, all in line with relevant food hygiene legislation
  • Ensure excellent food and service contribute to residents’ daily experience
What skills do I need?
  • Team work – a happy team supports happy residents and a happy home
  • Previous catering experience is desirable; a food hygiene certificate is beneficial
  • Understanding of safe food storage/cleaning practices is essential
  • Support and training are provided
  • Caring, enthusiastic, and energetic approach
  • Good communication and flexibility
  • Kindness and a genuine regard for older people and their needs, with respect and dignity
