Job summary

Impact Food Group in Castle View School, Canvey Island, is seeking a Catering Assistant to join the friendly catering team. You will assist in food prep, serve customers, and keep areas clean and hygienic during school hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–2:30pm, term-time only.

This role offers daytime hours with school holidays off, a DBS check paid by the employer, and opportunities for free meals on shift and staff discounts.

About The Role

Job Title: Catering Assistant

School Location: Castle View School , Canvey Island, SS8 7FH

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Shifts & Working hours: 8:30am-2:30pm (30 hours per week)

Working Weeks: 37 weeks per year (term time only)

Pay Details: £15,633.30 per Annum

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Work as part of the catering team to provide a friendly, efficient, and hygienic service.
• Assist in preparing food and snacks for the site.
• Serve customers at the counter and operate the till.
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
