Job summary

A leading solutions provider in Barnstaple is seeking a Caterer to prepare food with care, monitor food safety, and assist with catering functions. The ideal candidate must have previous experience, knowledge of food hygiene standards, and the ability to work well in a team. Qualifications

  • Knowledge of food hygiene standards is essential.
  • Experience in customer service and polite interaction is important.
  • Ability to work in a small team and resolve problems on the job.

Job description

Caterer, will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role does require being onsite 5 days a week.


The salary for this role is £24,643K, depending on experience.


What you’ll be doing


  • Prepare all food with due care and attention, particularly in regard to customers special dietary requirements i.e. nut, dairy or wheat allergies

  • Replenish all food and equipment to ensure service periods do not stop

  • Assist with the set-up, service, clearing of function catering as requested

  • Ensure that temperatures of fridges, freezers and hot cupboards/serveries are monitored and recorded in line with the Food Safety Act

  • Ensure that the control of raw materials and portions are to the Company’s standards and ensure all food is served at the correct temperatures

  • Ensure that all goods are quickly and correctly stored away on rotation system following the rule first in, first out and comply with Food Safety regulations
