Job summary

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Category Manager on behalf of one of our clients. Located in Reading with a 3 days per week on-site arrangement, the role focuses on developing and implementing category strategies while balancing short- and long-term objectives to meet business priorities.

You will manage supplier relationships end-to-end, support the existing Category Manager, and engage stakeholders at all levels in a highly regulated environment to deliver procurement

Qualifications

• 5+ years of category management experience.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry.
• Strong supplier relationship management skills.
• End-to-end procurement experience.
• Security clearance (SC).
• Based in the UK and able to support the sole UK category.
• Ability to support the existing Category Manager.

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Category Manageron behalf of one of our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Category Strategies for assigned sub-group of categories, balancing short and long-term objectives to meet business strategy.

Support and execute stakeholder management.

Delivering benefits through category management interventions within a complex project / programme delivery environment.

Adopt a polite yet tenacious attitude to achieve goals and move projects towards completion.

Skills and Qualifications:

5 years'+ category management experience.

Experience working in a highly regulated industry.

Supplier relationship management skills and experience.

Running procurements, end to end.

SC clearance.

Sole UK.

Ability to Support existing Category Manager.

Experience working in a highly regulated industry.

Strategic.

High attention to detail.

Strong stakeholder engagement skills at all levels and strong communication skills.

Able to support putting together packs/materials for supplier reviews.

Proficient MS Office 365.

Desirable:

Public procurement background.

Defence experience is highly desirable.

Some contract management involvement, good to have.

Jaggaer would be beneficial.
