Job summary

Edwards & Pearce Recruitment are working with a large national organisation in the medical space to appoint a Category Manager with services and material procurement experience.

You will join a team that operates as business partners across the organisation, working with stakeholders to look for cost savings, ensure an effective procurement and tendering process, and manage supplier relationships and performance. They value strategic thinking, supplier collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of services/indirect and materials procurement.
• Experience of managing complex contracts and high value tenders.
• Knowledge of medical services, consumables, and devices beneficial.
• Strong relationship management skills.
• Knowledge of eProcurement.
• At least part-qualified in CIPS.

Responsibilities

• Identifying opportunities for saving or service improvement within the organisation.
• Advising internal stakeholders on procurement process, and leading tendering projects.
• Negotiating pricing and contract terms.
• Managing supplier relationships, and ensuring supplier performance, reducing risk in the supply chain.
• Implementing and contributing to procurement strategy.
• Identifying internal process improvements.
