Role Description

We are looking for two new Category Analyst's to support the wider category team with data analysis and insights to help build category relationships with our key retail partners.

Dimensions
  • External contacts – Customers (Buyers and Category Marketing Managers), Research and Marketing agencies.
  • Internal contacts – Marketing team, Sales team, Buying team up to senior manager / director level.
Key Duties
  • Assisting with the day-to-day category data analysis.
  • Build category specific reports aligned to requests from retailers and the wider category team, to provide action-oriented updates.
  • You’ll immerse yourself in data, to gain understanding of market performance and learn how this can be turned into key insights.
  • Understand and utilise all data platforms to understand performance and share with the wider team.
  • Spend time in stores to understand the ever-changing landscape and what retailers are looking for to drive performance.
  • Online is key for growth, you will support with ensuring the team is aware of new news online for our retailers and support with brainstorming ideas for future growth.
Support for the wider Category Function
  • Assist the wider category team by becoming an expert in our data sources.
  • Understand the wider UK Grocery market and the dynamics within it.
  • Cut through information to identify and develop insight from analysing shopper and performance data.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the current ways of thinking and is comfortable talking through their thoughts.
  • This role would be suitable for someone who likes to seek to understand data and trends within a number of data sources, and enjoys finding nuggets of insight within it to turn into a compelling stories or topics for discussion.
  • This role will provide a varied base as an entry level into the world of category. You will gain exposure across all channels and categories and will enable you to build up a wide network of support internally across many teams.
