Job Description
- Develop and implement category strategies to optimise procurement processes.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to achieve cost efficiencies and maintain quality standards.
- Analyse market trends to identify opportunities for improvement within key categories.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business goals.
- Monitor and report on category performance, providing actionable insights.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement best practices.
- Support the Procurement & Supply Chain team with ad-hoc projects as required.
- UK travel is required for this position.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Category Buyer should have:
- Experience in procurement or supply chain management within the FMCG industry is preferred but not essential.
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in analysing market trends and data to inform decision‑making.
- Knowledge of category strategy development and implementation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
