  • Support the Catastrophe Portfolio Analytics Manager in the provision of catastrophe services, ensuring all regulatory submissions and requirements are completed on time and to a high standard of accuracy.
  • Contribute to internal and external catastrophe reporting, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of outputs across Chubb European Group.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of key external regulatory returns, including the Lloyd's RDS and LCM, terror exposure returns to Pool Re, ARPC, and GAREAT, and the London Fire Brigade return.
  • Work with catastrophe model outputs, manipulating and processing data to support a variety of reports, analyses, and downstream models.

  • Support the conception and construction of stress-test scenarios used to assess business risk positions.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the relevant peril-region data sensitivities of vendor models and contribute to the development of data quality enhancement protocols.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting processes, analytics workflows, and methodology documentation.
  • Stay current with relevant research, scientific developments, and emerging risk markets, applying new insights to the team's evolving view of catastrophe risk.
  • Contribute to a variety of team-wide projects and support the broader objectives of the Catastrophe Management function.
Qualifications

Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years' catastrophe modelling experience, with a focus on portfolio analysis and model understanding.
  • Practical experience with Moody's Intelligent Risk Platform or AIR Touchstone.
  • Experience in contributing to regulatory returns is advantageous (e.g. Lloyd's, PRA, ACPR).

Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree educated, preferably in mathematics, engineering, or a science discipline.
  • Advanced Excel skills; SQL coding experience advantageous.
  • Knowledge of RMS EDM and RDM structures or AIR Touchstone database structures.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities with a desire to work extensively with complex datasets.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to present findings to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to produce high-quality presentation material.
  • Very high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
