Job summary

Responsibilities

• Promote high standards of quality within the nursery
• Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties
• Deploy staff appropriately to ensure required standards are delivered
• Ensure effective implementation of nursery procedures and allocate children to keycarers
• Ensure EYFS requirements are met in practice and provision
• Provide professional feedback to parents about their child
• Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers
• Develop open and positive working relationships with staff
• Maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers

Our Kiddi Caru Day Nursery in Daventry, is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Casual worker to join our team. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity and helping them thrive every day.

About Our Nursery

Our Daventry nursery is set within the grounds of Danetre Hospital, offering a convenient and welcoming environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. With thoughtfully designed spaces for each age group, we focus on supporting every child’s development, wellbeing, and confidence as they progress through their early years.

Fantastic Outdoor Space

Our recently refurbished garden provides a safe and stimulating environment where children can run, play, and develop their physical skills. Through our Sow & Grow programme, children take part in the full gardening cycle—from planting seeds to harvesting produce which is then used in fun activities such as baking. The secure, well-equipped outdoor space encourages creativity, teamwork, and a strong connection to the natural world.

What will you be doing

• Promote high standards of quality within the nursery
• Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties
• Deploy staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms
• Ensure the effective implementation of the nursery keycarer procedures and allocate children to keycarers appropriately
• Ensure that practiceand provision in the nurserymeets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Provide professional, relevant feedback to parents/carers about their child
• Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers
• Develop open and positive working relationships with staff
• Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers
