Overview

Casual worker required £18.01 per hour for various shifts including days, nights, weekends and weekdays to support a gentleman with healthcare and support needs living in his own home.

Flexibility is required to cover annual leave and sickness and also when there is a change to the young man’s health needs.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Caring for a young adult with complex health needs.
  • You will assist in daily personal care needs for the young adult and administer medication.
  • You may be required to assist on medical appointments and assist in daily activities and outings.
  • You may also be required to assist while the young adult goes on holidays – up to date passport may be required.
Experience and Training
  • Experience in the following preferable but not essential: epilepsy, gastro feeding, medication administration, oral suction, NIV BiPAP ventilation.
  • Experience is preferred but not essential as full in-house training will be given for the ideal candidate.
  • Annual training from health professionals specific to the young adult’s medical needs is provided to all care staff.
  • Online E-Learning courses are available paid for by employer.
Requirements
  • Driving is essential.
  • Excellent sense of humour and an outgoing personality.
  • Flexibility to cover shifts and adapt to changing health needs.
  • Successful applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and will be subject to a DBS check and clearance which will be paid for by the employer.
