JOB ROLE: Support Worker

LOCATION: Oldham, Manchester (OL8)

SALARY: £12.60 - £13,30* per hour

SHIFT PATTERN: 08:30 - 21:00PM

About Boston House

Boston House provides slow stream Neuro Rehabilitation for 17 adults who have complex needs following a brain injury. You will work in conjunction with a Neuro‑Therapy Team, assisting the people we support with their ongoing rehabilitation goals.

As a Support and Therapy Assistant you will be part of a team that excels in being an active and positive influence, encouraging the people we support to work towards a brighter future. Duties will include:

• Promoting independence with the people we support and encouraging them to engage in their rehabilitation journey following their Brain Injury.
• Supporting our people to manage their health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments, hospital admissions, and administering medication when fully trained.
• Empowering the people we support to manage budgets, pay bills, menu planning, shopping and support with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking in line with their therapy goals set by the therapy team.
• Assisting with personal care.
• Supporting to follow tailored programmes of therapies set by our Physiotherapist, Speech and Language Therapist, and Occupational Therapist.
